The term of Alena Steinke initiative in support of female political prisoners has ended. Thank you from Belarus Women's Foundation to those who ordered dresses from Alena's collection and thereby helped Belarusian women who were imprisoned for their choice "to be called people", which means to think, speak and live freely despite fear and threats!
Alena wrote today: "I just can't stop now! Your interest in the collection and the need for support and financial assistance of female political prisoners prompted me to extend the initiative until August 24! This is the birthday of one of the political prisoners - Ala Sharko, who was arrested on December 22, 2020. Alla is the director of the Press Club of Belarus, journalist, art researcher, artist and a beautiful woman with a bright soul. I would like to give Ala on her birthday her "Belarusian" dress, in which Alla - and I am sure this will happen very soon - will be able to celebrate her victory, the victory of all of us!"
