OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES:

Ending violence against women

Violence against women and girls is a grave human rights violation, resulting in immediate and long-term physical, sexual, and mental consequences which can have highly damaging and even devastating effect on their health, reproduction capacity and life itself.
Violence against women is a problem which shouldn’t be tolerated by any group of people or any gender, therefore BWF is calling upon men to stand up and take the action with full responsibility in preventing and stopping any kind of violence against women.

Women’s leadership and participation in political decision-making

The role of women in different fields of life in Belarus is far less equal than in the countries around. The non-legitimate president Lukashenko has for many years led a policy that minimizes the involvment of women in state and municipal managing authorities, in key positions of governmental institutions or businesses. Belarusian women were written off by Lukashenko’s deeply held belief that women are unsuited to politics.

Economic empowerment

Investing in women’s economic empowerment sets a direct path towards gender equality and economic growth. Women make enormous contribution to economies, either as entrepreneurs or employees, or by doing unpaid work at home.

Involvment of youth for the future of Belarus

The force and inspiration of the young generation and young leaders is critical driver for accelerating progress in democracy, lawfulness, mutual trust and all types of equality.

Our foundation is going to address to the young people explaining the economical and political processes which a democratic country is based on.

Peace and security, gender equality

Women should participate in decision-making about the forms of assistance and protection they need. They can provide many efforts in preparing for, and responding to crises of different types. In fact, in some situations, women’s point of views on issues may have the ability to prevent or even put a stop to a crisis.

Women and girls with disabilities

Recognizing the universal character of problematics for people with disabilities, BWF aims to concentrate efforts to promote state policy regarding disability–inclusive action and gender equality, contributing especially to the voices of women and girls with disabilities.
