Berlin Fashion Week (BFW) will present its 2022 multifaceted and trend-setting program on March 14th – 20th, 2022. The event will feature outstanding independent designers, as well as the involvement, and activation of Berlin's fashion retailers. The focus of the upcoming BFW will once again be sustainability, innovation, and the influence of various subcultures.
We, the Belarusian Women's Foundation, on behalf of all women of Belarus, appeal to the organizers and all designers taking part in the show with a request for help.
18 months have passed since the bloody presidential elections in Belarus. A year and a half of Belarusians' struggle for freedom: dozens of victims, thousands of political prisoners, and millions of broken hearts by the dictatorial regime.
However, we do not give up and continue our struggle not only for our personal freedom but also for the freedom of every innocent Belarusian.
We, Belarusian women, continue to fight with the same determination and courage as on August 12, 2020, when we took to the streets of our country in order to stop violence and protect our children, brothers, husbands, and compatriots.
We call on BFW and all participating designers to help us in our fight.
Challenge the dictatorial regime of Lukashenka with us!
Belarusian women political prisoners are currently illegally in prison, in inhuman conditions: they are tortured, left without food and water, if necessary, do not even provide medical care, tear children from their mothers, persecute relatives and friends.
By order of dictator Lukashenko, Belarusian women are arrested for wearing white and red shades.
White-red-white colors are the colors of our national flag, these colors have become our symbol of the struggle for freedom and truth.
We ask the organizers and designers to support us and dedicate the white and red models from the new collections to the brave Belarusian women who are now in captivity.
