📅 Today marks exactly four years since the presidential elections in Belarus -
four difficult years.
What have these years been like for Belarusians?
😔 For political prisoners, they have been four years of hell: systematic humiliation, moral and physical violence, torture...
🌍 For Belarusians in forced exile, these have been years of integration and adaptation to new living conditions abroad. Some were able to adapt quickly, while others are still struggling.
Belarusians have also had to face various forms of discrimination, primarily based on nationality.
😢 And for those who remained in Belarus? These have been four years of repression. The repression not only continues but intensifies every day.
💼 For the self-proclaimed "leader" Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and the structures she organized, however, these four years have been successful. Endless and meaningless world tours, conferences, photo shoots, luxury hotels, exquisite food and drinks, personal security (from whom?). What more could one dream of?
💎 The results of their invisible work can be seen in expensive accessories and noticeably plump figures. Some have already lost weight dramatically, but not by giving up luxury and delicacies for the sake of Belarusians who fled the regime's repression. All these benefits are funded by money stolen from Belarusians — money that was meant for the rehabilitation of those who fled repression, and to support political prisoners and their families.
🍒 The cherry on top was Mrs. Tikhanovskaya’s self-appointment as the permanent leader of Belarusians. This hardly distinguishes her from Lukashenko and his methods: "clinging to power with a death grip."
⚖️ Don’t forget! Everyone will stand before the court: those who "didn't know," those who "had no choice," those who were "forced," and all those who placed their own well-being above the interests of Belarusians — the interests of the nation.
