In the framework of the projekt „UrgentAppeal“, in the center of Vienna, Plague Column, representatives of the Belarusian Diaspora in Austria and Belarus Women"s Foundation, told the stories of brave Belarusian women, who have suffered for their civic position and are now illegal held in prisons in #Belarus.
Currently 39 women in Belarus are recognized as political prisoners and every day this number is growing.
Thousands more women, young and old, for fabricated reasons (wearing white-red-white dresses and national symbolism, reading Belarusian literature in public transport, participating in prayers for the victims of repression, etc.) are in custody awaiting court sessions.
All our heroic women have committed no crimes, they have been robbed of all of their freedoms for far-fetched reasons. The whole world must know about brae belarusian women.
We would like to thank Dr. Helmut Brandstätter from NEOS, Mr. Mag. Lukas Mandl from the People's Party for participation in the Demo, and Fr. Kati Schneeberger from The Green and Stopovereurope.eu, AÖF-Verein Autonome Österreichische Frauenhäuser, Österreichischer Frauenring, Nini Tsiklauri from Pulse of Europe, Mr. Rainhard Kloucek from Paneuropa Bewegung Österreich for your contributions and infinite support!
