IAPC DEMOCRACY MEDAL

On Sunday, November 21, chair of Belarus Women's Foundation Veronica Tsepkalo took part in the presentation ceremony of IAPC (International Association of Political Consultants).


The medal was awarded by Mr. Sepp Hartinger (EAPC), in the presence of Christoph Hofinger от SORA InstitutSecretary General of the Austrian Journalists Club Ms. Barbara Meister, volunteers of the Belarus Women's Foundation, as well as representatives of the Belarusian diaspora in Austria "Belarussusche Diaspora in Österreich", Sweden and Luxembourg. 

In 2020, the IAPC Democracy Medal was awarded to brave Belarusian Women, represented by Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Maria Kolesnikova and Veronika Tsepkalo.


International Association of Political Consultant is a non-governmental organization, created in 1968.  The IAPC has awarded the Democracy Medal since 1982 to an individual or organisation that has worked courageously to promote, advance and sustain the democratic process anywhere in the world. The first Democracy medal was awarded at the IAPC Berlin Conference to Lech Walesa, Leader of Polish Solidarity. Subsequent winners have included Margaret Thatcher, Mikhail Gorbachev, Nelson Mandela, Boris Yeltsin, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and many others.
