As the American Newsweek writes, “these three women are nominated for their fight for fair elections and for inspiration of peaceful opposition against the Lukashenka regime ”.
The three women have been nominated for "their struggle for fair elections and for inspiring peaceful opposition" against Belarussian leader Alexander Lukashenko.
Protests have been held in the country's capitol, Minsk, after Lukashenko claimed victory over opposition leader Tsikhanouskaya in the disputed August 2020 election.
