#11 Maria Moroz

Maria and her husband were never interested in politics. By 2020, they had come to the conclusion that something needed to be changed. The family business took up all their energy and was not profitable. The family decided to leave for Poland. When the election campaign began, the couple actively participated in collecting signatures in support of Sergei Tsikhanousky. After his arrest, Maria supported Svetlana and became head of her HQ. Detentions and threats forced Maria to send her children abroad. After the elections, during an appeal to the Supreme Court, Maria and Svetlana were forcibly expelled from Belarus. Today Maria is the head of the Country for Life Foundation. In her interview with Veronica Tsepkalo, Maria talks about how it all began, whether she was scared, and what her plans are for the future. “There are more and more of us. We do not give up. We act and achieve our common goal!"
