Louisa May Alcott (1832–1888) was an American novelist, short story writer, and poet best known for writing the novel Little Women and its sequels.
She actively participated in the women's suffrage movement and campaigned for women's rights. Her writing also reflected her feminist ideals, portraying strong female characters who pursued their own goals and challenged traditional gender roles.
