“I do not think we have a "right" to happiness. If happiness happens, say thanks,” - Marlene Dietrich

Marlene Dietrich (1901 – 1992) was a German-born actress and singer and one of the screen legends of the 1930s and 1940s.

She was famous for her fashionable style and diverse portrayals of women. She is also known for her antifascist political efforts and open and resolute opposition to Nazism in her native Germany.

During World War II, she paused her film career to perform concerts for the American and Allied troops.
