In June-August 2021, the BWF’s chair Veronica Tsepkalo met the representatives of a number of countries, including the ambassadors of Norway, Sweden, Spain, Germany, France, USA (Deputy Ambassador), Greece, Finland, Italy, Denmark, Canada and Austria.
The meetings covered a wide range of topics. Veronica Tsepkalo told about Belarus Women’s Foundation, raised the issue of women political prisoners and their prison conditions, and the issue of organizing exhibitions in European cities.
One of the main topics was filing the case in the International Criminal Court and the assistance and cooperation of EU countries, the USA and Canada to institute criminal proceedings against Lukashenka.
All the above-mentioned countries (except the United States) are States Parties to the Rome Statute, the treaty that established the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
