In 2008, “UNITE to End Violence against Women” initiative was launched to end violence against women. This initiative is an effort to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls around the world. The UNITE initiative calls on governments, civil society, women’s organizations, youth, media, and UN organizations to join forces to combat the global pandemic of violence against women and girls.
For three years, the Belarusian Women’s Foundation has been fighting for the rights of women and girls in the Republic of Belarus. We continue to work with the governments of European countries, human rights and women’s organizations and do everything possible to stop any form of violence, especially against women and girls, in our country.
