Babulя by from Anna Anatolyevna

We present to your attention an interview with Anna Anatolyevna Kanavalava, the creator of the BABULЯ brand and mother of the political prisoner Antanina Kanavalava. She told us what it's like to be a grandmother with two grandchildren in forced migration and a mother of a woman political prisoner.

In September 2020, Anna Anatolyevna was forced to flee Belarus together with her grandchildren, five-year-old Nastya and seven-year-old Vanya, fearing that they could be taken away by the guardianship authorities after her daughter's detention. Her daughter, Antanina Kanavalava, and son-in-law, Siarhei Yarashevich, are recognized as political prisoners. The couple was sentenced to 5 and a half years in prison.

Now Anna Anatolyevna lives in Warsaw with her grandchildren and combines work with her hobby - she knits scarves, gloves, capes under the newly-created BABULЯ brand. Watch the video to learn how she came up with the idea of brand creation and find out some secrets of creating weightless shawls and miracle-working socks. By the way, the logo was invented by her grandchildren.
