[From inside the paddy wagon we saw that] everyone was blessing the paddy wagons. Lena Amnuel is a student from Minsk who was an independent watcher at one of the poll stations in the city. Lena was arrested on Aug 8, 2020, at her poll station and then sentenced to 12 days in jail for petty misdemeanor. She had to serve 6 days of this sentence and throughout this time she was in the Akrestina detention center, a police station in Minsk, Minsk region detention center and Zhodzina prison. Our interviewee tells about the tortures at Akrestina, horrible beatings of men at nights there, about the compassion and cruelty of the so-called law enforcement and about her state and fight after the release.
