Eva Perón (1919 – 1952) was an Argentine politician, activist, actress, and philanthropist who served as First Lady of Argentina from June 1946 until her death in July 1952, as the wife of Argentine President Juan Perón.
Eva dedicated her life to fighting poverty, developing a trade union movement, helping the sick, and getting Argentine women to vote.
In 1948, she set up the Eva Peron Foundation to help people from impoverished backgrounds.
